Students must carefully weigh their options, look closely at their financial aid award letters, and determine the absolute best path forward. Ultimately, College Decision Day celebrates the beautiful culmination of a decade of hard work.
Watching your child go through the college selection process is both incredibly exciting and a little nerve-wracking. As a parent, your supportive role is absolutely crucial right now. One of the most impactful things you can do is simply validate your teenager's feelings. Let them know that whatever emotions they are experiencing are completely normal, and reassure them that you are always there to listen. Many of these unexpected feelings surface once the college acceptance letters actually begin to roll in. If a specific school, even a fantastic community college, resonates with you more deeply than the others, it is definitely worth pursuing.
